“What is Stewardship to You?”
Stewardship at Annunciation
The generosity of our stewards is critical to our financial health and most importantly, the wide range of our church services and programs. In 2024, stewards gave $199,000 to help support the Annunciation. This was a 6% increase from 2023 and thank you!
To help answer questions like “What does my stewardship support?”, “What happens to my stewardship gift?”, and “Why does the church need my money?”, the charts below detail our finances to provide better insight into the impact of your stewardship gift.
In 2024, our income totaled $687,378. Stewardship accounted for 35% of the total with other philanthropy accounting for 25% of the total. The remainder of our income comes from events like our Festival and GyroFest and tuition.
In 2024, our operating expenses totaled $557,967 with stewardship gifts covering over 40% of the total.
Our goal is to inspire more stewardship and philanthropy so we can reach a point where events serve solely as fundraisers for Annunciation charitable work and increased ministry.
We are getting closer to that goal year after year and thank you for all your generous gifts to our beloved parish.
What is Stewardship?
Here at Annunciation, stewardship is an important thread in our fabric. While it takes significant financial support to operate our parish community, it also takes time and talent.
How else can I give?
Our parish has so many activities and volunteer roles in which to serve. As Orthodox we are all called to be good stewards of what God has given each of us. We must also be good stewards of our parish community.
Giving Back to God and Neighbor
We strive to make your giving as simple as possible and are pleased to offer a secure payments through PayPal.
Thank you for your donations, whether annual, monthly, or even a one-time gift.
stewardship
For those who attend a particular church regularly, consistent stewardship at that church is very important. It is one of the simplest ways that we can make an offering of ourselves directly to God through His Church and make enough room within ourselves to receive His blessing in return.
How should I give?
We give to God of our first-fruits (before anything else) and with a cheerful disposition (2 Cor. 9:7), understanding that everything we have is a gift from God. We make donations easy using PayPal.
What is the minimum?
Stewardship is neither a minimum fee, nor membership dues. Rather, financial giving to the church is a freewill offering to be done joyfully and generously; in this spirit there is much spiritual benefit. Giving to the Church is, itself, a spiritual act. Our need to give is more important than the Church’s need to receive.
Specific Needs
St James says, “You have not because you ask not”, so we are asking for these items if you would like to purchase them for the church.
Parishioners often want to support our needs by donating specific items. We invite you to click the link below and, as always, thank you for your generosity.
