His eminence, archbishop elpidophoros of america

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros is the eighth Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

On May 11, 2019, he was elected Archbishop of America by the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and was enthroned at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City on June 22 of the same year.

his eminence, metropolitan methodios of boston

His Eminence Methodios, Metropolitan of Boston, is the spiritual leader of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston which includes all of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont and the Connecticut towns of Danielson, Enfield, New London and Norwich.

Metropolitan Methodios often quotes the parable of the Final Judgment recorded in the 25th chapter of the Gospel according to St. Matthew. Calling it one of the most meaningful passages in the Holy Scripture, Metropolitan Methodios reminds all that "in it our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ identified Himself with the hungry and thirsty, the stranger and the maimed, the sick and the prisoner.....to underscore a principle which many of us, caught up in the daily whirl of our own selfish routine, tend to forget or ignore. Specifically, that our dealings and treatment of one another are actually dealings with Christ Himself, and upon this reality our own judgment will be based."

Reverend father nicholas livingston

Father Nicholas Livingston was born in the coastal town of Santa Cruz, CA, and grew up there with his parents and two older siblings. He was always involved in the life of the church, beginning as an altar server and eventually learning to chant in his teenage years. After first pursuing a degree in kinesiology and physiology, he moved cross-country, graduating from Hellenic College with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies in 2012 and from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology with a Master’s of Divinity in 2017.

Upon his graduation from seminary, Fr. Nicholas was assigned as the pastoral assistant at the parish of St. Spyridon Cathedral in Worcester, MA. He was ordained by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston as a deacon on March 7th, 2018, and as a priest on March 11th, 2018, and continued to serve at the parish of St. Spyridon as the assistant priest.

In November of 2020, Fr. Nicholas was called to serve as proistamenos of St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church in Nashua, NH. After two years there, he was assigned to our community in Woburn, MA.

Fr. Nicholas is married to his wife Nikoletta, whom he met while at Hellenic College. Nikoletta works as an occupational therapist with teenage students at Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA.

Parish Council

The Parish Council is the lay leadership arm of the community, working in collaboration with the parish priest to oversee and execute all ministries and events. The Council works, together with the priest of our community, to guide the parish according to Charter and Uniform Parish Regulations (UPR) as set forth by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

All parishioners who are committed to meeting the needs of the Church are invited to run for election to the Parish Council. The Parish Council ought to be a representative sample of the parish, with every demographic represented: women, men; single, married; young or old.

Serving on the Parish Council is primarily a ministry, which tasks those who serve to represent Christ and the Orthodox Christian Church in all aspects of life, in addition to embracing a leadership role in the community.
