HOLY FRIDAY YOUTH RETREAT
Each year we offer a retreat for all children of our parish in PreK-8th Grade, in which they learn more deeply about the mystery of Christ’s passion. This year we will be paying special attention to the theme “Caring for Christ”.
Registration begins at 12:30pm, after which time the children will gather in the church for a welcome message with Fr. Nicholas, then they will begin a series of rotations with volunteers exploring the theme through activity and musical lessons. The retreat will conclude with the Unnailing Vespers, at which all the children will participate in holding the burial shroud as we remove the icon of Christ’s body from the Cross, as we live out our theme “Caring for Christ”.
Please note, a snack will be provided during the retreat, but families should plan to eat lunch prior to registration.
Parents are encourage to attend this Unnailing Vespers at 3:00pm to witness their children’s participation, after which parents will be responsible for their kids.
