HOLY FRIDAY YOUTH RETREAT

Each year we offer a retreat for all children of our parish in PreK-12th grade in which they learn more deeply about the mystery of Christ’s passion and resurrection. This year we will be paying special attention to the theme “The King of Glory.”

Please complete the form on this page to register your children for the retreat. There are no costs to attend.

Retreat Schedule

12:30-12:45 Check In

12:45-1:00 Opening Prayer and Welcome with Father Nicholas

1:00-2:45 Workshop Series: Children will participate in a series of rotations with volunteers exploring the theme through activity and musical lessons.

2:45-3:00 Snack + Preparing for Church

3:00 Unnailing Vespers: All the children will participate in holding the burial shroud as we remove the icon of Christ’s body from the Cross.

4:30 Youth Retreat Concludes

Please note, a snack will be provided during the retreat, but families should plan to eat lunch prior to registration.

Parents are encouraged to attend this Unnailing Vespers at 3:00pm to witness their children’s participation, after which parents will be responsible for their kids.

High School students are encouraged to arrive at 10:30 AM to help with preparing luminary bags and stuffing candy in eggs.
